Where are the true, dedicated loyalists of the system today—those who, during the dark times when "the lid remained tightly shut" and the "former General Prosecutor's office mafia" flourished, protected state property tooth and nail, turned their backs on million-dollar criminal offers, and stood firmly on the side of law and justice? Even though 20 years have passed, it is deeply regrettable that individuals who earned the highest accolades from the state for their honest service back then are still suffering without any justification today.

Truths that shake society often emerge years later, when the veil is lifted from the darkest basements and closed systems. The confessions of Farhod Shaimanov, a former prosecutor and senior justice advisor, recently exposed not only the scale of corruption within the law enforcement system but also the brutal face of the "General Prosecutor's Office Mafia" that once ensnared the country like a spiderweb.

However, this is not just a memory of the past. It is the living drama of true system loyalists who, in those terrible years, rejected millions of dollars in offers from criminal groups for the sake of the state and the people, but who today are unjustly suffering in the shadow of our reforms.
The chain of events dates back to 2005-2006. At that time, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who was serving as Prime Minister,

Currently, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is Shavkat Miramonovich Mirziyoev
issued a fair and secret order to trusted personnel within the system to prevent the plunder of the state's above-ground and underground resources (especially oil and gas reserves in the Kashkadarya and Bukhara systems) by mafia groups.

The task was clear: to break all mafia chains that were "gnawing" at state property.
Farhod Shaimanov, who worked in the Kashkadarya Regional Prosecutor's Office, and Aliksandr Morozov, the head of the regional department of the State Security Service (formerly the National Security Service), succeeded in tracking down a large criminal gang in cooperation. However, they claim that, without realizing it, they touched the "nest" of Prosecutor General Rashid Kadyrov, who was at the highest level of the criminal chain. Former Prosecutor Farhod aka Shaimanov, moreover,
Instead of bringing criminals to justice, Rashid Qodirov began protecting the interests of the "mafia" and covering up their crimes. Honest prosecutors who attempted to see investigations through to the end were swiftly dismissed from their positions and thrown behind bars on fabricated charges.
I was imprisoned and subjected to various forms of physical abuse simply for exposing a major criminal syndicate. Through the Turaqulovs, who are related to Rashid Qodirov’s son-in-law, people were brutally tortured in basements until they urinated blood. Most horrifyingly, they attempted to force a false confession out of me against the then-Prime Minister, Shavkat Mirziyoyev," recalls former Colonel Farhod Shaymanov.
