First-graders at the school threshold in Fergana

Today is September 2. While festive events are being held in our country on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Independence, the new academic year has also begun in the country's schools.

This day became an unforgettable date, especially for thousands of children who are stepping through the school gates for the first time in their lives. In the current academic year, about 400,000 children were admitted to the first grade of schools in Uzbekistan.

At School No. 2 in the city of Fergana, a festive mood prevailed from the morning. The 7-year-old children, who were kindergarteners just yesterday, today entered the classrooms for the first time as schoolchildren, with bouquets in their hands, smiles on their faces, and great excitement in their hearts.

We also witnessed these joyful moments with our own eyes. The cheerful mood of the children, their interest in making new friends, the excitement of their parents, and the warm welcome from the teachers added a special charm to the schoolyard.

At the solemn ceremony, gifts from the head of state and sets of necessary school supplies were also presented to the first-grade students.

Sirojiddin Ghazieyev, senior assistant prosecutor of the Fergana region, attended the event and personally read out the President's congratulatory message to the children stepping into the first grade.

After that, the good wishes of the head of state were conveyed, and the gifts and school supplies were solemnly handed over to the children.

The heads and teachers of the school also extended sincere wishes to the first-grade students, wishing them great success in the new academic year.

However, there was another aspect at the event that caught our attention.

It was the design of the school supplies presented to the children.

It not only contains the necessary items for study but also a unique solution aimed at raising the younger generation in a spirit of patriotism.

On the visible part of the school supplies set, special keychains with the sacred state symbols of the Republic of Uzbekistan – the State Flag and the State Emblem – are placed.

This means that every time the child opens or closes their school bag, they can see the symbols of our country.

At first glance, this might seem like a simple design solution. However, such small details are of great importance in a child's upbringing.

Because patriotism is formed not only through lofty words but also through symbols that a child sees, feels, and comprehends every day.

Today, a new life has begun for the children who have stepped into the first grade. The first steps have been taken towards new teachers, new friends, new knowledge, and big dreams.

Their joy today further strengthens our confidence in the future of our country.

Indeed, the 7-year-old children who stepped through the school gates today are the builders of tomorrow's Uzbekistan, educated specialists, and the generation that will take the fate of the Motherland into their own hands.
